Welcome to the delights of our Christchurch attractions! Cruise in comfort aboard our luxury coach. Fully guided by our knowledgeable host, our Grand Tour shows off the best things to do in Christchurch in the most comfortable and convenient way. If you’re on a tight schedule, get the flavour of our city without fuss.

This is a fully-guided day trip from 10.30 am to approximately 3.00 pm.
Transport and all attractions are included in your ticket price.
Lunch is not included, but you have plenty of time to enjoy lunch at your leisure, and our host will be happy to recommend some favourite spots.

Christchurch Grand Tour

I simply wanted to give a huge bouquet for the wonderful experience we had on the Grand Tour. Both Ian (the Bus Driver) and Suzie (the Caterpillar Guide) were fantastic advocates for our City of which I'm still very proud of by the way. Our Grand Tour takes a full day, so if you only have half that time enjoy our Punting on the Avon, the Caterpillar Tour of the Botanic Gardens, or ride in the Christchurch Gondola to the summit of the hills for stunning views in all directions.

Two day itinerary

The next day take the Hanmer Connection shuttle bus to Hanmer Springs (ph 0800 242 663). Your 90 minute journey passes through beautiful scenery and you can be delivered to the Thrillseekers river base or directly to the town centre. Thrillseekers Adventures has something for everybody! Jet Boat the entire length of the spectacular Waiau River Gorge. Enjoy our relaxed Rafting trip, suitable for families. Bungy jump from the 135 year old Ferry Bridge. Challenge the terrain, with river crossings, dust, dirt and excitement on a Quad Bike. Challenge a friend to Paintball or go Claybird Shooting with a real shotgun. Then head to the town on our free shuttle and bask in the famous hot pools at the end of your day! Return to Christchurch on the Hanmer Connection or stay longer and do more….
